The spooky season is among us, and it is time to put on your scariest costumes. While putting on your fangs and goblin nails you might have not thought of what places to go to have your spidey socks crawling away. From spine-tingling freights to teeth-rotting fun there is no shortage of local fun during this haunted season. Many people participate in classic traditions such as decorating pumpkins, treat n’ treating and house decorating. But many want to go out and experience Halloween on a spooky level. This is exactly what Andrea Robinson who is the owner of AJ Hall wants to do with her family.
“Halloween is just a fun night,” Robinson said. “I like to go out with my kids to go trick n’ treating, go to haunted houses, and binge-watch our favorite scary movies. We like to all out and get into the Halloween spirit. “

Deadland Haunted Woods
Do you want to visit a haunted forest, see a deranged circus, and try to escape the living dead? On Friday through Sunday 7 pm to 12 am the Deadland Haunted Woods would have you running mad. The three main attractions; the carnevil showcase a mad circus, and the portal transport you to a world of famous scary tales and escape the crypt of the walking dead. The owner of Deadland Haunted Woods, Dana Chapman created the haunted woods with her father to show others her favorite parts of Halloween.
“It's an outdoor walk in the woods, there are three separate attractions,” Chapman said. “We have a bonfire and concession stand and a gift shop. The carnevil has a freak show, it has oddities, it has clowns anything you will see in a freak circus. The portal is a half a mile walk in the woods and the theme of it is scary tales and the crypt is an above ground walk through crypt”
Raven Hollow
Many parents try to look for a haunted house that is family-friendly but also still fun for adults. Raven Hollow was created just for that. Owner Tim Davis created Raven’s Hollow because he had kids that he couldn’t take to haunted houses. After all, it was too scary. On Friday through Saturday 7 pm to 10 pm Raven Hollow will have.
“It's only based on animatronics and special effects and sets,” Davis said. “So, kind of artistic type of thing and it's more for all ages. It's not too scary for little kids but it is also interesting for adults."
Wag It Better
Most pet lovers would love to celebrate Halloween their furry friend. The Halloween bash called Wag It Better comes in. The dog training and boutique is having its second annual Halloween bash. Your pet can show off their best costume to win a grand prize. The host and sales director Miranda Adams said there are going to be vendors, prizes, music and paw painting. And the event is going to help raise funds for non-profit animal shelters.
“Come celebrate your dog, it’s a way for you and your dog to get out of the house,” Adams said. “You can drink a beer and your dog could come trick n’ treating, you can enjoy the music we’ll have going on inside. We’ll have free trivia as well so it's not only for the dogs.”
1980s Halloween Bash
Throw it back to the 1980s. Adams is also hosting a 1980s Halloween costume party at the hop springs beer park. The party will consist of neon and a lot of hairspray. A band name Mixtape is performing the most popular ‘80s music and they would be having a costume contest.
“It’s just a fun time to get out with your friends, it's music everyone knows so it's just not just for kids, not just for the adults, everybody knows the eighties music,” Adams said. “It’s a chance to dress up, take your friends out and be worry-free,”
Silent Night
For many rewatching some of your favorite scary movies is one of the exciting parts of Halloween. Andrea Robinson is hosting Silent Night at her event center called AJ Hall on October 31st. The silent night event consists of a Halloween moviethon, costume contest, food truck, and 360 photo booths.
“It’s a family-orientated celebration, we are going to have popcorn and entertainment,” Robinson said. “Everybody is going to have a headset on their heads, and they are going to watch different types of horror movies from hocus pocus to Michael Myers. “
